A very important question ...

So, I'm looking to buy myself a pair of the classic Hunter Wellington boots and I'm stumped on the colour. Yes, this is quite a self-serving post but I'd like the insight of others to help me decide on this very trying matter.
Green or black, folks. Green or black?

Yes, black is versatile and "goes with anything". But I feel like when I think "Wellies", I think of the green. It's classic. And it's a drab enough shade that it could be a neutral. I really am quite puzzled about this. I won't be ordering them for a few more weeks, but I feel the more time I mull over this, the harder the decision will be.

Oh, and buying both is not really a financial option.

GREEN.

The black ones are too, I don't know. Black, black, or black.

I think the green is a dull enough shade that you can wear it with everything.

Also I just ordered mine in navy. Sweeeeeeet. Too bad it's raining cats and dogs right now and my feet will be wet tomorrow without them.

Green.

I think rainy days are already so depressing, color is nice. And it's not that much color.

green! i just got mine in dark olive and i love em. plus green looks cuter in spring (when it'll be super rainy and you'll be wearing them most)

i guess green...though i kind of hate my hunter boots - i bought black and they get freezing cold in the winter and are kind of weird and uncomfortable to walk in since theres so much rubber goin on. i wish i bought old school rain boots over hunters.

I'm French, and green .. well, it's mainly used for gardening/hunting/country living herebut not for the big city. Now you can find welllies with flowers, big colorful patterns, etc.

I'd go for the black ones, and to add a color touch, I'd buy a yellow or pink or red raincoat (the French typical outfit : a yellow raincoat and a marinière top).I also like the black ones better because they look more "rock'n'roll" (I could wear faux black leather leggins with them, just my 2 cts.

But if you like the green better, go for it.

have fun !

Definitely green.

Green! Totally agree with previous comments about that during rainy days, you'll need some optimism = color! You can always have some black kneesocks looking up above the top..

Got to be green, suitable for all occasions and better with denim. x

definently green.
I would love a pair of hunters but I can't really swing that since I don't have a job. I hope you enjoy yours!

I recently bought my first pair in black, and yes they're AMAZING! I must say that I kind of wish that I bought them in dark green just because they are more fun, as rainboots should be. Nevertheless, I do not regret choosing black, they are tres chic and I can get away with wearing them with everything!

I say the black. The green sort of look like work-in-the-garden boots. I also don't see that shade of green going with all that much. I have some clothes that shade of green and it's hard to wear them with anything other than black, grey's and whites. Also there are a lot of ways to make an outfit interesting socks and tights for example.
